We've grown a lot, but we still know each other; we still catch up in the hallway with each other when our drivers get a chance to make it to the home office. That's the culture we've cultivated over the years, and it's been the foundation of our success and growth.

We appreciate that our drivers are spending the majority of their waking (and sleeping!) hours in our trucks. Because of this, we make the quality of our fleet one of our top priorities.

The Truck

The average age of any truck in our fleet is 18 months. We are continually upgrading the fleet to ensure your safety and comfort, which is extremely important to us.

Our fleet is comprised of Kenworth T680s. If you've been around enough, you know these are quality trucks. Kenworth calls this the most advanced and aerodynamic truck they've ever produced.

Interior Amenities

We'll provide you with the best amenities in the industry, including:

  • 76” high roof sleeper
  • Inverter
  • APU (auxiliary power unit)
  • Twin XL mattress
  • Room for a microwave
  • TV wall mount (you provide the TV)
  • Complementary satellite TV (including HBO, Showtime, NFL Sunday Ticket, and a DVR)
  • Aux inputs in our recommended TV for gaming consoles
  • Refrigerator/Freezer
  • Fold-away table

Blue Beacon

Additionally, we provide you with a complementary Blue Beacon account, which will allow you to get your truck washed once every two weeks so you can always feel like your truck just came off the showroom floor. (It feels good to be in a clean truck, doesn't it? Not to mention nobody being able to write 'Wash Me' on the trailer.)

70MPH Governors

Did we mention we set our governors at 70MPH? With the new ELD mandate, every extra mile each hour helps, but we've had these set to 70 for a while to help you get where you're going with less headache and frustration, all while maintaining a safe speed.

Work Your Way

We provide a lot of flexibility in regards to how you drive for us, and we're always available to you 24/7, providing you with driver support from the home office.

Solo Driver

The classic. Get behind the wheel. There's nothing but you and the open road. This is what the majority of truckers out there are doing, and it works really well. Oh, and you'll receive a guaranteed pay raise every year, not to mention we do our very best to provide you with consistent miles and consistent home time.

Team Driving

Maybe you like having company, or perhaps you simply appreciate the fact that two drivers means the truck is always moving. Not to mention that with the ELD mandate having just taken effect, a lot of drivers may find it to their advantage to begin team driving.

We provide a team matchmaking service, so if you're a solo driver interested in being a team driver, but don't have somebody specific in mind, we'll match you up with another interested solo driver and make a team out of you!

Admittedly, being a team driver means you're away from home for longer periods of time. We attempt to compensate for this by offering a guaranteed base pay for our team drivers. Because of the advantage of having a guaranteed base pay, our team drivers receive guaranteed pay raises every two years.

Owner-Operator

Cherokee NationalCreate your own success by joining Cherokee National! This option will afford you access to top-tier customer freight which gives you the greatest level of flexibility and the highest earning potential. Flexibility because you can choose your own loads, and highest earning potential because you'll get paid more per mile, since you'll be running your own truck.

Benefits

Your health and well-being are important to Tribe. All company drivers receive full benefits, including health, vision, and dental insurance, as well as newly added benefits in 2018 that include short-term disability, critical illness insurance coverage, and accident insurance.

Our driver company benefits package includes…

  • Medical and prescription coverage through Blue Cross Blue Shield.
  • All employees enrolled in the company medical plan have access to Teladoc! Call Teladoc from anywhere - home, work, or on the road - and let the doctor come to you! Teladoc doctors diagnose non-emergency medical problems, recommend treatment, and can even call in a prescription to your pharmacy of choice, when necessary, at no cost to you.
  • Dental and vision coverage.
  • Short-term disability insurance provides 60% of your weekly income if you are unable to work due to illness or injury.
  • Accident insurance pays a set benefit amount based on the injury and treatment you need, and covers accidents that occur off the job, from common injuries to more serious events. This is paid on top of your medical coverage and is available for you to use as you see fit.
  • Critical illness insurance provides a lump sum payment on top of your medical coverage for designated critical illnesses covered by this insurance. This is also available to use as you see fit.
